I know, I know. This picture from the BBC website is related to a terrorism story and shouldn't be made light of. There's few things that worry me more than polis with guns.Yet, the thought which popped immediately into my head was "you can't smoke in here"...

are they Glesca polis?
It reminds me of a survey taken on the London underground some months ago which indicated many folk with brown skin were more afraid of the polis than they were of terrorists.
I hate seeing police wandering around tooled up like this. The only people they are likely to scare are the honest ordinary travellers - but maybe that is the intention.
