I didn't consciously steal the look of your blog, I just picked the preset formats that looked nicest. I guess we have the same tastes, m'dear. But then I suppose in one regard we knew that already.

Aye--and let us stand against this crap about increased polis powers. It is an essentially English thing to do and designed to give Broon the upper hand over Scotland.Give that bustart the jail.

Well now the 1000 pints have been pledged for John Smeaton, I hope he and the others involved enjoy them. Everyone who wants the freedom to live in a liberal democracy owe a debt of gratitude to the members of the public and the services who helped to limit the impact of the Jeep bombers, and those now involved in for the long haul in tracing any others who may have similar aspirations. "We'll set about you" I hope we won't have to.

From today's Scotsman...

"Character It is interesting to compare the differing responses of cities to the threat of terrorism, all of which seem to reflect their character. New York tells terrorists "United we stand". London tells terrorists "We are not afraid". Glasgow tells terrorists "We'll set about ye!"
